tasker "connect to wifi" not working

I am running Android 11 with Tasker 5.14.6 and Tasker Settings 1.4.0.  Followed instructions to grant Tasker Settings Location permission https://github.com/joaomgcd/TaskerSettings/releases

Created task with "connect to wifi", used search to locate the correct ssid, but still get error when I run it: 

error:null

couldn't find matching configured network

Suggestions?

Your status bar doesn't show a WiFi icon -- any possibility that WiFi isn't turned on, and thus unable to connect?

Yes, wifi is turned on.  But, what I just discovered today is that Tasker did not have the "Appear on top" permission.  Once I gave it that permission, the "connect to wifi" task ran successfully and without issue.  Thanks!
