Pent, I have no idea if this is on your radar, or even possible as a third party addon without getting Tasker's source, but would it be feasible for Tasker set up a local web server over wifi or adb voodoo, and the user to point a browser there, and be able to build and mess around with tasks from a computer? Crazy thought, but it would be nice to have a mouse and keyboard, and an embiggened screen as sort of a central command for Tasker.
I'm not a very good coder, but I think I'll give it a shot. :)
I like the idea a lot. Combine a remote web desktop, a'la the the one provided by Smart Dog Studios (or similar) but allowing for local manipulation of Tasker files. If you could run Node.js locally on an Android device, that might be he ticket. I know several people have been looking at this. It'd give you access to the file system as well as a simple web server.

Oh, good, I'm not the only one who had the idea! Just came on here to see if it had been proposed before. What I was thinking was a repository site where I could store my profiles/tasks, and perhaps share with others (ala IFTTT.com). I would think it would be reasonably doable to convert the current interface more or less into a web page. Essentially, each choice we make creates an XML file. We know what the structure of the XML file would look like since we can export to one, so we just need code to create a compatible file we could then import.
