it seems ADB via WIFI is now working in Android 8.1 - is this possibly true?

Hvane tested it yet but my latest tasker just offered me to set ADB
via WIFI when creating a kill app action.

As I remember ADB via WIFI was for Android11+ devices, is it possible
it actually works now?

That is awesome, but I havent managed to set it up yet, it goes like this:

Android 8.1 stock non-root

I ran adb tcpip 5555 -> it didnt return any error but it prompted to "allow" on the phone and I allowed

I set up kill action in tasker and ran it -> but it doesnt kill the app (I cannot tick "root off" which is normal i think)

I set up adb wifi with command "test" and it doesnt do anything

Can you try using any of the commands that you get when you use the magnifying glass in the ADB Wifi action? Do those work?

"Uninstall app" action works ok, but kill action still doesnt work

I managed to achieve my goal with "disable app -> enable app -> start app" but it would be more elegant with "kill app -> start app"

so... "kill app" action doesnt work, but other actions that are available in wifi adb work... android 8.1 stock on samsung s8
