Hi all. Long-time tasker user; installing a new phone, I decided to go with the direct-license version, instead of the google play one i've had for ages. Wanted tasker & 3 other auto* apps.
After sifting through pages at
tasker.joaoapps.com &
reddit.com/tasker, I figured I needed to get $4 for each of the 4 licenses to m. dias via patreon; however, when I did so, I mistakenly purchased 4x1-month "gifts," thinking that they were "gifts" to the developer, not to someone else - not sure why I thought that, but in my defense, the term "gift" wasn't explicit on the patreon page. Now I've got 4 redeemable links to 1-month memberships/direct-purchase licenses to m. dias' patreon (which I'm not able to redeem myself), and no licenses.
To further confuse things, the direct-license version of autotools I installed has self-updated, and now says it's free if I view an ad. Is it just one ad? Because if I must continually view them, I'd rather just buy a license.
I don't regret at all $16USD going to the developer of an app than I intend to use daily; I'd just like to *not* make another mistake trying to license these apps.
M. dias- Is there a way to convert the the "gift" memberships to something that'll end up getting me the licenses? If not; I'll donate them here or on reddit, no sense letting them go to waste. If I need to re-purchase, please consider posting *explicit* details on how to purchase a license that does *not* involve the play store at any point (the updated autotools wants me to install autoapps from play - but avoiding the play store is the whole reason for downloading the apks/licensing the apps to begin with).
Thanks for reading.
