Paid for wrong thing on patreon

Hi all.  Long-time tasker user; installing a new phone, I decided to go with the direct-license version, instead of the google play one i've had for ages.  Wanted tasker & 3 other auto* apps.

After sifting through pages at tasker.joaoapps.com & reddit.com/tasker, I figured I needed to get $4 for each of the 4 licenses to m. dias via patreon; however, when I did so, I mistakenly purchased 4x1-month "gifts," thinking that they were "gifts" to the developer, not to someone else - not sure why I thought that, but in my defense, the term "gift" wasn't explicit on the patreon page. Now I've got 4 redeemable links to 1-month memberships/direct-purchase licenses to m. dias' patreon (which I'm not able to redeem myself), and no licenses.

To further confuse things, the direct-license version of autotools I installed has self-updated, and now says it's free if I view an ad.  Is it just one ad?   Because if I must continually view them, I'd rather just buy a license.

I don't regret at all $16USD going to the developer of an app than I intend to use daily; I'd just like to *not* make another mistake trying to license these apps.

M. dias- Is there a way to convert the the "gift" memberships to something that'll end up getting me the licenses?  If not; I'll donate them here or on reddit, no sense letting them go to waste.  If I need to re-purchase, please consider posting *explicit* details on how to purchase a license that does *not* involve the play store at any point (the updated autotools wants me to install autoapps from play - but avoiding the play store is the whole reason for downloading the apks/licensing the apps to begin with).

About the Tasker licenses, can you please suggest how the text could be clearer exactly? I never knew there was an obvious way to gift other people the Patreon subscription. So, do you mean that I should change the text in the $4 tier to explicitly say that you should not select "Gift" when checking out, but "Membership"? Thanks in advance

About Autotools, that happens because you updated with the version from Google Play, which doesn't use my license mechanism. To avoid that, you should disable automatic updates for all AutoApps on Google Play.

Unfortunately I don't know for sure if you can convert a gift to a membership, but my feeling is that you cannot. You can maybe ask Patreon support though. Understood.  I've sent another $8 to your patreon for 2 licenses, just waiting for them to show.

One further question, if I might take another moment of your time- is there a direct-purchase version of autoremote?  All I can find is the "lite" version in the play store.
