Hello Tasker forum

I'm facing the following challenge:

I use my HTC Desire Android 2.2 with Navigon 3.6 in my car.
The phone is connected to the Bluetooth set of the car.
During an phone call the Navigon voice is also redirected to the car
spreakers.

I also have Tasker installed, can Tasker mute the Navigon voice during
phone calls?

Anybody some suggestions?

Regards,

Wilco

First try state Incoming Call, and use it to set the media volume to
0. If that doesn't work, try all the other volume channels (except in-
call of course).

Get back to us with results :-)

Try changing media volume level - this is the one Navigon is most
probably using.

Did not work...

I added the following profile:

<class cl="Profile" sr="prof8">
<nme>InComing Call</nme>
<id>8</id>
<ctp>2</ctp>
<mid1>16</mid1>
<mid0>9</mid0>
<ftp>2</ftp>
<class cl="StateContext" sr="con0">
<class cl="StringArg" sr="a1">
<val>00:0E:9F:AA:CC:31</val>
</class>
<code>3</code>
<class cl="StringArg" sr="a0">
<val></val>
</class>
</class>
<ct>0</ct>
<class cl="StateContext" sr="con1">
<class cl="StringArg" sr="a0">
<val></val>
</class>
<code>40</code>
</class>
</class>

New Profile Name is Incoming Call
State is Bleutooth connected to Carkit and Incoming Call
Task is Media Volume = Level 0
Exit Task is Media Volume = Level 1

On both tasks Display and Sound options are checked.

Yesterday I tested with an incomming call in my car. The Tasker
profile was active during the call. But I did not see a popup or hear
a tone at new sound level when the profile started and exited. And
most anoying, the navigon navigation instructions interupted my phone
conversation on my car speakers.

So as for now the problem is not necessarily with the volume controls, but with making the profile active.

Try one at a time:
- remove the "Incoming Call" context from the profile and check it activates once connected to the carkit (you can add a notice so that there is additional level of indication),
- remove the "Bluetooth Conencted" context, call your phone and see if profile activates.

A.
