Tasker newbie, trying to set up profile for connect and disconnect from home WiFi

Hello,

I'm a newbie to tasker. I've looked at it for years but until I found
the tasker 11001 tutorials youtube channel thought it was to complex.
Well, now I'm trying to utilize it.

What I'm trying to do is set up a profile that performs a task when I
connect to my home WiFi network, and performs another task when I
disconnect from that same WiFi network, for example whenever I'm
taking the dog for a walk and leave range the second task runs.

I've got the WiFi Pro Ftp Server app on my phone, it's a Samsung
Galaxy s10 running Android 11. The first task, launches the WiFi Pro
ftp server and turns on my bluetooth, it's intended for when I connect
to the home WiFi. The second task kills the WiFi Pro Ftp Server app
and turns off bluetooth, that one runs whenever I disconnect from my
home WiFi.

I've got the tasks set up properly, but I'm stuck on the profile
creation. I keep getting a missing permissions message, but there's
nowhere to grant the needed permissions. In the profile I'm going to
state, then net, then WiFi connected and that's when I'm getting the
permissions error message.

Any help appreciated or if there's a better way of doing this i'd love to know.

PS, Unrelated, but in the Tasker 101 tutorials channel beginner mode
is mentioned and to disable it. I went through my tasker settings and
didn't see that. Has beginner mode been depricated?

Be sure to keep an eye on when the videos were posted. Tasker has undergone some radical changes, especially since the new developer took over.

Sounds like you could use a Wifi Connected state profile.

What is the error message? Make sure you have your location settings turned on in the Android system settings. It's an Android requirement.

Beginner mode was causing more confusion than it was worth, so the new developer removed it.

Thanks for your reply. I do have location turned on in android
system. Tasker also has the location permission set.

The error message Missing permissions. Tasker needs the following
permissions for the functionality you have configured, access
background location, * state.

I do not see where to grant these permissions, I've been all over
permissions manager and do not see that pearticular perm.
