Issue changing 'Media Volume' on Realme device

Hi

I'm not being able to change the Media Volume outside Tasker on a Realme device, if I'm in Tasker and execute the Task (that contain the Media Volume change Action) with the play button it works fine, but if I put a 3 secs Wait before and leaves Tasker it won't anymore (or using any Profile that triggers this Task), all the following Actions after the Media Volume change executes properly, no errors happen. The Media Volume is the only volume type that doesnt work, Alarm, Ringer and Notifications works fine outside Tasker. I gave Tasker all permissions I could think, including removing Background run restrictions.

Tried changing it via volume_music_speaker Custom Setting, didnt worked either

I downloaded Automate app to see if it worked there and it doesnt also, but Automate has an option to change the Accessibility volume, and it worked using this option, but I didnt find anything similar in Tasker.

Has anyone faced a similar situation?

I'm sure this is a Realme problem since it used to work fine on my old Mi A3 with Android One program, now I have a Realme 6 Pro.

Maybe the phone is restricting Tasker from running in the background?

To make sure Tasker and the AutoApps run in the foreground please check here: https://tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/faqs/faq-problem.html#00

Pay special attention to the location part. If Tasker doesn't have permission to get location in the background it might not work correctly, so disable and re-enable the location permission and make sure that you allow Tasker to always access it.

I checked the links you sent and everything is ok, I removed all background restrictions and gave all necessary permissions, and like I said, it works on other types of volumes (notification, ring), so probably not a permission or app being killed problem.

Hhm, is it possible that some accessibility service is interfering there? Try turning all enabled accessibility services off and see if it works then.

Hi. I have the same problem with "volume media"! My device now is realme c3. I didn't have this problem before on Xiaomi redmi 4x. I hope the author of the program will take measures to solve this problem ..

Yeah, this is probably more Realmes fault than Taskers

Anyway, Automate has this 'Change accessibility volume' that works on media volume (video below),
does Tasker has anything similar? I searched for it but didnt find anything

Totally worked here, even with Accessibility off for Tasker, which is weird.

Will I still receive google play updates with this apk installed?

Dmitrii, make sure you're using the 'Accessibility Volume' action, not the 'Volume Media', if it worked here probably should work for you too.

Great :) Glad it worked! It works with the service turned off because if you gave Tasker the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission it'll toggle the service on itself and then turn it off after ;)
