Use profile context State -> Display -> Display Orientation.  The action you want is Display -> Set Wallpaper.

Thanks for the answer but i doesnt work. I set the display oriention to landscape and then the task to set the wallpaper i want by clicking the magnifier.glas, I do not click the icon next to it neither the if button. Also the checkbox is checked and the on button is green. When i have my phone i landscape tasker is active in the dropdown menu but nothing happens. Whats wrong?

Unfortunately Tasker doesn't change the background instantly. If you start flipping side to side it should eventually change. i don't' know if there a work around for this or not.

It's pretty quick, but Android takes ages to process and update the
background.

When my phone is not in user (low to none CPU usage), it takes between a half second to 4 seconds for my background to change. It really is Android, not Tasker. It takes the same amount of time whether I change the background with Tasker, Android settings, or another app.
