Does Tasker save the name of the bluetooth device that connected to any variable?
I want to detect the name of the new bluetooth connection and flash it on my screen/
That possible?

Yes. Use an app called Bluetooth AutoConnect, the one written by Jacob Klos. It's almost like a plug in. You can define the device in the Action, NET - Bluetooth for a context. You will not find the context as a plug-in. Make sure your Bluetooth is on when defining! It'll pull the device name and MAC address. I love it. Especially when more than one Bluetooth is active. Having my headset connection automatically transfer to my vehicle when driving and revert back when not is like how a smart phone should work. Just download the app, make sure it can connect to all your devices, then set your STATE: NET, BLUETOOTH CONNECTED context and define your device names. Reply back here if you have questions or any issues.
