Hello. I have a UART to USB converter ( http://denkovi.com/usb-to-uart-ftdi-serial-interface-adaptor ) which can communicate with my PIC microcontrollers thru RS232 and to my Android tablet thru USB Host. The question is: how can I use the data transfered from PIC to my tablet in Tasker ? On Google Play I can find only simple Terminal software ( like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ftdi.j2xx.hyperterm&hl=en ) but I can't use the data received in this Terminal. I can only look at the values.

And one more question please. I made a dashboard for my car with a tablet, displaying every information I need in a big Tasker Scene. My question is: Is there a timing order for different commands ? I mean, how can I know (before testing), for example, if Element Visibility change will take more time than Element Depth change. Thank you very much for the best software on the market.

OK, I guess there is no solution to my problem so I will abandon my project.

Certainly not an expert, but I have done some development with PIC controllers in the past.  You should be able to accomplish this via JavaScript or possibly the new Java integration of Tasker.

If you do get it to work, I would be interested in what you have accomplished with your PIC-Android project.

I have a working configuration in my car (the Android Dashboard) and at home, but what I asked earlier here would make everything easier, safer and cheaper. Now my PIC's are connected with digital and analog in/out to a LAN controller ( http://denkovi.com/ethernet-snmp-controller-web-server-24-digital-and-analog-io ). Then, the ethernet cable goes to a USB converter ( http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/USB-2-0-10-100-Ethernet-LAN-Network-RJ45-Adapter/200516_302074174.html ). Then to the USB host of the Android tablet. Next the software called "SNMP Widget" from Android Market, send and receive data to/from the PIC's and Tasker does the final job ( http://youtu.be/TjcBu3D0ug4 ).

Its one I have written I will post a link later on today for it, it write the output of the Bluetooth serial link to a text file then you just use taskers changed file event to do stuff with the data .
