Change of Input Method (Keyboard) with Tasker and Plugin "Secure Settings"

Hello

there is a simple way to change the Keyboard (the input method) with tasker:

the Plugin "Secure Settings" which is available in Google Play (for free).

E.g.: I have some Apps where the predictable way of keyboard is not useful (ConnectBot, Terminal Emulator) and to avoid of changing each time to the "Hackers Keyboard", which is much better here, I have:

Profile "Hackers":

Application / "Terminal Emulator", "ConnectBot" 

Task "hackers":

Plugin / "Secure Settings" / Configuration 'Edit' / Helper Actions / Input Method: Hacker's Keyboard

To get the "normal" Keyboard (I use Swype and Swype Beta) I have the same kind of Tasker Profiles for other editing Apps (like WhatsApp: Swype Beta, Evernote: Swype, k9mail: Swype Beta, Jota+:Swype etc.)

Guess you are rooted?? I tried and it is telling me i need BUSY BOX but it wont install because I have not rooted. Or is there something  I am missing?

Sorry, yes, this works only rooted.

there's one thing left i don't get though: the input method does change as intended but doesn't persist after first usage(the input method reverts itself to the previously set).

my goal is to to make an action(and export as app) to toggle between 2 input methods, "aosp keyboard" and "voice input", but changes don't persist.

please help

Works like a charm. I put it into my script for turning on bluetooth and changing the input method when I want to use my external keyboard on my Droid X; reverse to go back to soft keyboard. Great, thanks!
