Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to load the screen below and select "No Default Provider" on a regular basis.

When I do this manually, it seems like every other day the phone changes back to YouTube Music and I can't stop this behavior. This causes the program to barf when I tell it to play music since I don't subscribe to YouTube, even though the music is on my phone.

I use another music service to play local media and I just want to use simple voice commands with it. Doing this makes it work without adding the player at the end: "Play Ziggy Stardust with Musicolet" is what I have to say when it toggles back to YouTube. I just want to say "Play Ziggy Stardust".

I've seen some more complicated things on here for doing this with tasker and voice commands, but just ticking the no default provider box below accomplishes the same thing.

So is there a way to automate this every so often or maybe make a voice command to toggle this box maybe any time I open Musicolet (my music program)?

Thanks!

The only way I see it would be to do something with AutoInput where you would make Tasker click the UI necessary to toggle it.

Hope this helps!

So kind of like a macro? I haven't purchased Tasker yet. I've tried a few things like that and they just didn't seem like they would work. Screen layouts change, etc... I was hoping there was a system variable Tasker could set. It's too bad we can't make a shortcut to certain settings pages. You have to go through a number of menus to get to that screen.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into it more!

Hi. You can actually get to certain Settings pages directly :) Check the "Settings" related actions in Tasker.

Thank you for your contact.
