Autonotificaton in Android Auto?

Is there a way to make a notification visible for Andoid Auto? Notifications from messaging apps are visible. Is there a way to make a notification look like a message, or make it visible in Android Auto in some other way?

I have an app that provides useful tips about traffic, but the notifications are blocked by Andoid Auto. I used bypass the blocking by intercepting the notification and texting it to myself. But I recently got a twin sim card, and texts to myself aren't possible anymore.

I tried it once but unfortunately Google has a restriction on which types of apps can create notifications on Android Auto, and the type of app Tools is not one of those, sorry :( I would need to create a special AutoAuto app or something to get it to work!

Thank you for responding. Actually an AutoAuto app would be a great idea, and hope you'll consider giving it an extra thought!   

As you say there is a restriction on notifications to android auto. Having an option to choose which ones are to be read out aloud under different conditions would be great. It is possible to get around this today using autonotifications and sending commands to autovoice by google assistant, but not very convenient. 

There was a project in xda labs earlier on reading multilingual messages (carnotifier), but looks like it has been abandoned. For the multilingual part it seems like google is handeling this better now.
