Is there a macro recorder plug-in for Tasker?

I mean a macro recorder that records user input and outputs it to Tasker format for playback. If Tasker can simulate all of the various user input, then somebody should write such a recorder. Not having to write the playback part of a macro recorder makes the job much easier. There is no point in having a plug-in that can do the playback when Tasker can do the playback as well or better. Since Tasker has stuff like %WIN the ability to make macro playback window specific, it's apparently already very well suited to macro recorder playback.

You need root to record/playback user input.

Tasker is not a macro program in the sense of replaying user input.

For instance, you can't fake screen taps with it except possibly via root shell.

It's a bit hit and miss right now, but if you're lucky it might work well for you :)
