Ok guys, i get it. Tower Defense and Tower Battles both have their own pros and cons. This is what i would say as an "equalizer" and end this argument. Tower battles is indeed the best of its kind of tower games when it first came out in Roblox. It could have stolen some ideas from other games but majourity Planet3arth got his ideas himself. Well, maybe there isnt really a need to give credit when u copied very little. (Maybe)But Planet just didnt update this game often and with "good enough" updates and thats his fault. He could be lazy in college, or have some life problems he didnt want to tell others about. Lets just not assume anyhow right now. But i would just say that, even if he was still in college, there would always be some time to spent updating this game, but he didnt. Maybe he was just too stressed out or something. BelowNatural could have seen that making another tower game would be good as they would keep updating it. In my perspective, i wan to keep things positive. BelowNatural could have made tower defense as he saw tower battles didnt get any frequent updates and he might have wanted to make his own tower game so people who like to play tower games can actually play a game that gets updated. But again, maybe not. But as i said, i want to keep things positive, This is when tho i rlly think BelowNatural is at fault. He could have just gave credit to tower battles but he didnt. Imagine having a tough time in college and your roblox game is not doing too well and suddenly somebody stole it and gave no credit? That would just feel...awful. So again, tower battles and tower defense have their own pros and cons, but lets not jump to conclusions and make a whole argument out of this. I know if you feel sad to see tower battles go down like this, i feel the same way as well. But arguing like this doesnt help the situation really. We could rather send messages to BelowNatural, asking him to just please give credit, and encourage Planet to do his best to pass his college with good grades or whatever school exam it is and and try to be more positive and try to update the game whenever he can. :)

"This post wasn't meant to start flame wars." Well, then, maybe you shouldn't have used the arguments "BelowNatural is an unoriginal idiot" on the Tower Defense Simulator wiki? Just a thought, ya know.

Tower Defense Simulator copied Tower Battles. Kinda. The dev literally left Tower Battles to work on Tower Defense Simulator, hence why they're similar. He has given Tower Battles credit before, which you'd know if you had read more than the wikias. He has said that the original idea was inspired by Tower Battles and used as a school project. So yes, it's inspired by Tower Battles, but the towers you listed as "copies" function differently most of the time, and if tower upgrade names are the same, it's merely a coincidence most of the time. All the models and assets were made by the devs. Portland is similar to a Tower Battles map because it was made by the dev that left Tower Battles. Planet3arth and his community are still angry over it because Tower Defense has more players, likely because of the better animations. Tower Defense has original assets - actually, most models, functions and animations of units are original, with the only similar part being the names. The most similar towers are from when the game was a school project, and all the other towers are now original - the reason they're similar in name is because Tower Battles covers a lot of units. The points of them being dead memes are both childish, petty insults and outdated as they were made while they were memes.

You used to be able to have everyone send suggestions but there were too many people sending joke suggestions, hence why the limit was put in place. Do more research. "Don't make a wall of insults and think that will prove your point." Then you shouldn't either, and look if the actual models are copied instead of ideas which have been around for a long time, way before Tower Battles.

Summarizing the entire thing: No models and assets are copied, only ideas and game mechanics which have been for a long time, way before Tower Battles. TDS has original ideas and is adding even more original ideas, but you're ignoring those with the fantastic argument of "it's a cringy dead meme so it doesn't count". The most similar towers were made as a school project, and BelowNatural has given credit to TDS. You don't understand the concept of a ripoff. You can't copy ideas that have been around for way longer than the original TB, and you can't copy the models as every model is original and the TB models aren't available to the public.

Crucial Containment Procedure: Asset-XXII is to be checked on monthly. The duo is to be fed weekly with dead carcasses or selected subjects. Personnel and facility guards can enter Bomb and Blammy's cell, but they can sometimes risk themselves from being killed by the assets. On some days the assets don't care if they're in their cell.

Asset-XXII, being contained Site Terra X, 20XX. The duo were first seen fighting alongside other zombies against towers, eventually being captured after scientists realizing the value they could have. Bomb and Blammy's attire consists of scrapped materials being formed into armor. Both assets share seperate parts of the armor; Blammy's the body and Bomb's the head.

Asset-XXII is not to be taken jokingly. In battle, together, armed, the duo can be deadly. Together they can be troublesome to take down, being surprisingly agile due to their boosters strewn all on its body. Explosives are its only weakness; it can cripple them both if not swiftly evaded quickly.

I don't know any details on how it will work out with prices and such. Dota 2 is fully gameplay free, only custom cosmetica / tickets costs money. But I actually wouldn't be surprised if the custom maps would cost a small ammount of money. Because they are regarded as custom. (and the creator gets a bit of that money of course)

To my understanding, custom games will be free, and even if the option of it costing something is there, it's been decided that EleTD will be free either way. As for the possibility of custom cosmetics for the mode costing money, I have no idea.

We are going to start up development again due to the Reborn Beta. One problem to note is that a lot of the code base has to be redone because of the engine update. The other problem is getting custom models/icons created for the game. I would expect a release to be a few months out.

As much as we want it to be out soon, we also want it out looking solid and playing nicely. Given the ten kajillion bugs being found in the Open Beta of Dota 2 Reborn - =475 - I have the feeling EleTD might not be out as fast as we'd like; plus our resources are also going in to the mobile version, so working on two versions at once is pretty daunting. I am hoping we at least get the Dota 2 version out by the end of the year though, and that's probably a more realistic time frame, especially since we still need all the custom models for the game (or at least enough that, combined with the base models in the game, all the towers have decent models).

i've been messing around with dota 2 custom games, and remembered about eletd. i'm glad that you guys are bringing it over to dota 2. i play eletd on sc2, but dota is my main and would love it there. i want to introduce it to my dota friends also.

seems like mobile version is a top priority for you guys, and it should be. please don't make it a free mobile game. i want to pay for it and support you guys. and once you guys are done with the mobile version, please don't forget about dota 2! many of us are from the wc3 era, so i'm sure you will get a huge following on the dota 2 platform.

Unfortunately, we lost out Dota 2 programmer, so the Dota 2 version is on hold. Visually, even though it was only in alpha, it was a treat, but unless we get another programmer, then for the time being, we're shifting back to developing the Starcraft 2 version (and using it as our platform of "trying out crazy changes"), with the mobile version being the priority. I do not know whether it'll be free or pay-for though.
