Dream on Earth, Build Among the Stars

Max Fagin is an aerospace engineer at Made In Space at the NASA Ames
Research Center
in Mountain View. Made In Space, a space-based manufacturing company,
specializes in
leveraging the unique properties of the space environment to address
commercial,
industrial, research and defense challenges, and sees a future where
life and work
in space are commonplace.

Max will give an overview of the company’s space manufacturing
milestones, including
building, flying, and operating the Additive Manufacturing Facility, a
3D printer on
the International Space Station. Max will also describe their work with
NASA on the
Archinaut program, to enable in-space robotic manufacturing and assembly
of large
space structures, and what the future interplanetary economy will look like.
