Mersey Forest Rd still impassable due to flood damage - watch the video

Dear Paddlers,

The Mersey below Rowallan is still inaccessible via the Mersey Forest Road.

Check out the video below of the two major wash-outs - they may take a long time to repair.


Advice from a bushwalking forum is that 2wd access is possible the long-way round, via Gowrie Park, Claude Rd, Lemonthyne Rd, and then over Gad's Hill and Borradaile Plains Rd and down to the Mersey Rd (joins about 2 kms north of the Arm River Rd from memory).  

There is apparently some damage on the Mersey Rd in this area so caution is advised.

So if you head up that way - please be very careful and take lots of photos of any damage to the WW or Slalom Course and share them please to help us assess repair and recovery options.
