Offer researchers thousands of multidisciplinary e-books from more than 90 of the best university presses from around the world. Covering a variety of subjects, this e-book collection offers titles that range from basic introductory texts to high-level research materials.

As of July 1, 2024: CARLI Governing Members have fulltext access to all subject areas for Wiley Online Books added to the Wiley Online Library platform from 2020 through June 2024. All titles have unlimited access for CARLI members through June 30, 2025 and may be used as course materials or for course reserves. Direct links may be embedded into course management systems; however, only titles purchased for perpetual access may be used to fulfill interlibrary loan requests. New online books will be added to the Wiley Online Library monthly through the end of our access period of June 30, 2024. Please see information below for more details about access to titles from Wiley.

As of July 1, 2024: CARLI Governing Members have fulltext access to ebooks added to the Oxford Scholarship Online/Oxford Academic platform from January 2020 - March 2025 in eight subject collections published by Oxford University Press. Those six subject collections are: Biology, History, Law, Music, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, and Sociology. All titles have unlimited access for CARLI members through June 30, 2025 and may be used for course materials or course reserves. Direct links may be embedded into course management systems. Titles that have been purchased for perpetual access may be used to fulfill interlibrary loan requests for academic, governmental, or non-profit libraries for a patron's research or private study. New ebooks will be added to these subject collections on Oxford Scholarship Online monthly through the end March 2024. Please see information below for more details about access to Oxford University Press and its Partner Presses.

As of July 1, 2024: CARLI Governing Members have fulltext access to University of Illinois Press ebooks in all subject areas added to the JSTOR platform from 2015 - June 2025. All titles have unlimited access for CARLI members through June 30, 2025 and may be used for course materials or course reserves via direct link access. Direct links may be embedded into course management systems. Titles that have been purchased for perpetual access may be used to fulfill interlibrary loan requests of single copy of a book chapter. Please see information below for more details about access to the University of Illinois Press ebooks.

In July-August 2025, CARLI will purchase perpetual access ebooks from Wiley, Oxford University Press, and the University of Illinois Press based upon consortial usage data. CARLI Governing Members may purchase from these publishers, through June 30, 2025, at the rate negotiated for the CARLI agreement, additional titles with consortial access, please contact CARLI Support for more information.

As you implement OpenAthens, you will receive an IP associated with that implementation. You'll need to make certain that IP is on file with the vendor. You can do this yourself by sending an email to oxford...@oup.com or send CARLI an email to confirm this information (CARLI actually prefers that you send us an email, so that information is up to date in our files too!).

These recordings are from training given to CARLI members from Oxford University Press staff. They provide an overview of the Oxford Scholarship Online and the University Press Scholarship Online platforms.

In July and August 2023, after reviewing usage information, CARLI and members selected 770 online books for perpetual access for all CARLI members from the Wiley titles that were available to members during the previous 12 months. These titles were added to the 3,852 online books selected by CARLI and members previously.

A list of these consortial perpetual access titles is available. This list includes 383 titles that Wiley reclassified from online books to etextbooks that CARLI and members purchased perpetual access for all CARLI members.
