gcj 3.0 on sparc-sun-solaris2.8 host

Hi people,

I would like to run gcj on our sun box (sparc-sun-solaris2.8). When
I try to compile I get a message saying:

*** This configuration is not supported in the following subdirectories:
target-libffi target-boehm-gc target-zlib target-libjava

Can anyone tell me why it isn't supported - is it because it is
known not to work or has it just not been tried and is turned off
by default? (If the latter, how do I modify the scripts to try it?)
