Xploreris a family-friendly fun navigation challenge that is educational and gives children a sense of adventure as they explore the park to find the markers.

It involves a healthy mix of physical activity and decision-making that the whole family can enjoy together. At each marker, children need to identify what is pictured and enjoy learning a fun fact to tell their friends.

Xplorer is the ideal outdoor activity to get the whole family outside in the fresh air together! There are certificates for those who complete the challenge, along with a delicious sweet treat at the end. Whilst undertaking this adventure you and your family will use your navigational skills to hunt down the hidden markers on one of our designated courses. Additionally, if your children are feeling that little bit more competitive they can also choose to time themselves against the clock. Furthermore, whilst taking part in this tremendously exciting activity you will hopefully get the chance to enjoy the wide expanse of Brockholes Nature Reserve, and everything it has to offer.

Brockholes Nature Reserve is the perfect setting to undertake this fabulous challenge whatever the weather. With 250 acres of natural landscape to explore, from majestic grasslands to resplendent bodies of open water, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy. In the process of hunting for the various hidden markers, you will be presented with the opportunity to explore and discover every nook and cranny of the reserve, which you may have otherwise overlooked.

Moreover, it is worth noting that Brockholes does not merely provide an appealing landscape, it is filled with a variety of breathtaking wildlife which is just waiting to be discovered. Hopefully, upon undertaking this intrepid adventure you will find a whole host of wildlife, which is scattered across the reserve.

As a Trust, we take the safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors very seriously. We also know that as a business, we have an important role to play in helping stop the spread of coronavirus. You have told us how important time in nature is to you, now more than ever. With the changing local rules we have taken the decision to run our events in household and support bubble groups only. This will support everyone in maintaining a safe social distance throughout. We look forward to welcoming you safely to one of our events very soon!

Join in the family fun with Xplorer this weekend at Brockholes. We have health and safety measures in place to keep everyone Covid secure, without undermining the great fun and adventure you can enjoy on the reserve.

It is a Master level kit, meaning that it is more challenging to build, but the end result is a visually stunning model rocket that will be the envy of any collection. One of the standout features of the Explorer Aquarius is its custom jig that ensures perfect alignment assembly.

The Explorer Aquarius model rocket is capable of soaring higher than 700 feet when launched with an Estes D12-5 engine (sold separately). This offers a thrilling flight experience for rocket enthusiasts. Once the rocket is back on the ground, you'll want to show it off. That's where the removable plastic display engine nozzle comes in.

Great rocket for the advanced builder, could use some mods, launch is slow like larger rockets, so you can track easier. I would use epoxy only and add blunt nose cones to tops of the top pods for lower drag, install an internal ejection baffle, more reliable nylon parachute, with Pro2 shock cord and Estes threaded plastic 24mm engine retainer and leave out the engine block. Laminate fins with printer paper and C/A adhesive for lightweight no fluttered launch. Personally I mod most of my model rockets for higher impulse, slower burn time and for quicker refurbishment. Hope this helps everyone and have fun :-)

A challenging build but it's straightforward and a lot of fun. The decals are particularly challenging but if you take your time it will yield a nice looking rocket that generates a lot of comments on the flying field. Flies nicely on a D.

It was a day full of excitement, emotion and celebration. After 20 months of intensive work, the 25 finalists of the "xplore 2023 Technology Award for sustainable world" presented their projects in Bad Pyrmont on Wednesday.

After the welcome by Frank Sthrenberg, the teams started in the morning with the theoretical presentations of their projects via PowerPoint and/or video presentation. In the afternoon, the jury walkthrough followed with the presentation on the real model.

The xplore2023 goes into the next round: with 100 teams from 30 countries. The projects of the technology award for a sustainable world have thus been selected. A recap of the exciting launch event can be found in the video slider.

We are pleased to announce the 25 finalists that have been announced as part of the "xplore 2023 nominations". The 11-member jury of representatives from science, industry and associations settled on teams from 14 countries, including Argentina, Chile, China, France, Germany, India, Latvia, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, UAE and USA.

After one year of continuous realization of their projects, the xplore teams were asked to submit a meaningful video in which they present their realized project as briefly and crisply precisely as possible. The videos were the basis for the jury's final selection of the 25 nominees. The finalists were announced by the jury representative of the respective category.

We are now looking forward to the "xplore 2023 Award Ceremony" on 18.10.2023 with the live presentations of the projects in Bad Pyrmont. And of course we are curious to see which team will come out on top in its category.

We received numerous applications from 30 countries from over 100 institutions and companies from all over the world. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all applicants. Without their contributions, it would not be possible to organize such an exciting competition that not only promotes education and technology, but also brings together young people from all over the world.

The eleven-member jury from science, industry and associations now announced their decision during the global online conference xvention in September 2022. More than 170 groups had applied - and with great research and development projects in seven sectors: Social & Health, Smart Mobility, Environment, Smart Energy, Smart Industry, Digital Technologies and Education.

For more than 20 years, our xplore has connected young, tech-savvy people around the world. The teams are mainly recruited from the environment of universities, start-ups and vocational schools. Strongly represented this time were projects from Argentina, Chile, China, Spain and Germany.
