Dear Tarquin users,

I do proton single voxel spectroscopy using 7T MRI scanner. I have acquired a SVS dataset using STEAM sequence and analyzed it using TARQUIN. I have used parameter settings (Steps1…5) which I have attached(.jpg) with this message. Could anyone please confirm if  I can continue with these parameter settings  and analyze the 7T proton SVS datasets ??? or do I need to change any parameter/variable??

I will be really grateful to you.

Best regards,

Harshal

Hi Harshal,

There is going to be a problem with the metabolite simulation here.
You set a 4ms TE and a 12ms mixing time (TM). Are you sure the TE
shouldn't be 40ms?

Dear Martin,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. Actually the data is acquired with 28ms TM. I donot know why it took 12ms after importing the data. I have change the timings of TM from 12 to 28ms. Do you think the simulation should work now (keeping other parameters unchanged)?  I am sure about TE between 4-6ms.

Best,
Harshal

Hi Harshal,

I was assuming that TM < TE, but I was mistaken as this isn't the case
for STEAM. Just adjust the TE and TM to match your sequence and it
should work...
