I have a suggestion for a very simple connector that just presets a
string. I would want to be able to configure the string say by typing
in an edit box on it and then just have it available on the output. I
could use this with the TextFormatter to create better titles etc.
Does anyone else see a use for this?

Yes, for example to send an email to a given static address

I second this request/suggestion to be able to add strings.
Very useful, for instance to publish information to non connected
services using email.
