ANNOUNCING: Tarheel Hash 635 - It's my birthday bash hash, y'all!

HARES: Slow Hole; Poco, and Ass Clown are co-hares

WHEN: Saturday Aug 10th, 2019, 3pm!

WHERE: 5000 Rollingwood Drive, Durham 27713

HOW TO GET THERE: Feel free to use your favorite mapping tool if you want to supplement the  directions below:

From I-40, take exit 276 towards NCCU and away from Southpoint mall.  Turn left at the light onto NC-54 then right at the first light onto Rollingwood Drive.  My house is the 4th one on the left.  From Chapel Hill, take NC-54 to Durham and turn left onto Rollingwood Drive at the light.  This is where the American Tobacco Trail crosses 54 and across from the Homestead shopping center.

DOGS: will probably want to sit this one out. (That's what my cats have to say on the matter.)

WALKERS are welcome, with trail scouting indicating that there will be some turkey/eagle splits for those who prefer a little less shiggy and a little more bonding with nature.  Those looking for bondage with nature should refer to some of the specialty websites.  With so many co-hares, you can guarantee that there will be a sweeper.  That said, please keep yourself safe and remember the “buddy system” -that is, find other(s) of similar pace and don’t go it alone. Technology on trail (GPS) with my address is also an option.

WORDZ FROM DA HARE: We're going to be getting shiggy with it in the summertime, which my parents just don't understand. (If you don't understand those references, then I don't care.) We will take advantage of many of the natural and built features of beautiful South Durham, so be prepared for that.  I still have no idea what poison ivy looks like, but I bet there's plenty on trail so prepare for that.  Bring your own spider stick, since trail scouting included lots of accidental destruction of spider habitats.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

1) Please be prompt because no one wants to wait for you to get the party started.

2) In addition to bug spray, sunblock, and maybe a hat (if you're into that sort of thing) for the trail, you'll also want to bring a change of clothes for the on after.

3) We will likely be primarily inside or on the porch, so no need to bring a chair.

4) If you're allergic to cats, you'll want to bring your favorite allergy medication.  Please note that my cats are incredibly adorable, so bring a sick bucket if you have a weak stomach for awesome kitties.

5)  Give me a call if you need directions to my place or get lost on trail (Julie/Slow Hole): 919-433-7507.  There will be food and beverages and cake, so come prepared for fun and with flattering comments like, "You don't look THAT old" or "I know a great little funeral plot that would look great on you."

Cheers, and On-On!
