Attached is a copy of this year’s schedule as it stands now. Keep it handy as a reference and be sure to  mark your calendars.  Cheers and On-On, LS

UPDATES:

Weather prognosticators are promising rain for Saturday (and tonight and Friday). You’ll probably get wet, or at least your shoes will. If it rains like it did (not) for a previous hash of ours, everything will be fine. If it rains like it did for last July’s hash, then we’ll play follow-the-leader (thanks for the idea, Halle!).

If it’s somewhere in between, note that we will not have shelter at the avant nor at the beer break, but we will have shelter for the après. Umbrellas will be provided at the BB for passing around the cheezy poofs; please provide your own for the circle.

We strongly recommend that you consider bringing your phones on trail, for reasons which will be enumerated at circle. There will be a sweeper, but suffice it to say that if you somehow get lost anyway and don’t want to bring a phone, be comfortable knocking on people’s doors to ask for directions or use of theirs.

Scary-Rain-Forecast is forcing us to declare that Circle will commence at 2 pm. (yes, we see you rolling your eyes), whether it’s because we want set off before the rain arrives, or because we don’t want you to have to mill around in the rain, waiting for instructions—whichever applies. So arrive before then!

REMINDER: Tarheel Hash  695

HARES: The Enos plus mystery trail assistants

DATE:  Saturday May 23, 2026

TIME:  circle at 2 pm.

WHERE: Bragtown+Northgate Park: terminus of South Dominion St at E. Club Blvd

HOW TO GET THERE: Dominion is 0.5 miles from Roxboro St; heading east on E. Club, turn right onto S. Dominion (if you’re heading west on Club, that would be a left) and take the 2nd right, into the asphalt parking lot for Environmental Supply Co. They’re closed on Saturdays, but maybe try to park mostly on the north side, anyway. Someone should be there directing cars, unless you get there crazy early.

GPS instructions: If the intersection isn’t good enough for you or your device/app, easiest where-to is Shadowbox Studio; it will probably be the first thing to pop up before you even finish typing.

If you prefer a link, here is one to the parking lot (put it in your device now so you don’t have to go looking for this email on Saturday):  https://shorturl.at/BzNLu

WALKERS: Yes. There will be a sweeper.

DOGS: No, not this time.

WORDZ FROM DA HAREZ:

Trail will be A to A in previously hash-ignored northeast-ish Durham and will be somewhat north of 80% urban. Non-paved trail does have some PI, and could harbor ticks, so dress and/or apply insect repellent accordingly. As noted above, shelter will be available for the on-in, but not for the pre-circle gathering.

Hash halts will feature photo opportunities (just sayin’).

WHAT TO BRING: Umbrella, rain hat, towels, any wanted change of clothes and/or shoes. Throw in a lawn chair to use in case we end up outside for the après.

Questions? Lost? Call or text us at 919-433-6037 (Tom) or 919-519-6324 (Barbara)

Cheers, and On-On!
