Greetings, Fellow Hashers!
I just found Hazukashii’s article (in my email) on World Hash Events in December, and, not surprisingly, it’s full of info on upcoming hash events—not just in December, but a slew of interhashes to consider attending! I am so envious of everyone going to New Orleans for the 2025 InterAm. And the bids for 2027 include a presentation by the Rumson H3—I love those guys!
Haz then shares his experience at this year’s Pan Africa hash in Ghana, with a long list of interesting statistics, many quite amusing, plus links to a wide variety of photos.
Looking ahead: Check out open REGO’s for 2026 and 2027!
Anniversary celebrations include both a 4th and a 40th in Thailand, along with Nash Hashes in Ireland and Nigeria, a “Waddle in the Arctic,” and a Pan Asia. Decisions, decisions.

In the News gives us yet another story about that fine white powder causing panic and bringing in the cops. No doubt many of us have experienced this kind of thing locally over the years.
Hash History features a link to additional articles and (drum roll) a progress report on Hazukashii’s detailed memoirs of the hash. The completion date is approaching, and online order options will be sent out soon. I’ll share more details as soon as I find out.
The Way Back Machine lets us peek at articles from December 5, 10, 15, and 20 years ago, showing how the hash has been connected to what was happening worldwide at those times.
And what about this year? December hashes abroad are happening in Vietnam, Sierra Leone, and Bonaire. Here in the USA, hashes are taking place in Land o’Lakes (Tampa Bay H3), South Milwaukee (Waukesha H3), Chicago (Chicago H3), and – yes – in our NC town of Fayetteville, at the Hash Prom (hosted by none other than the Carolina Trash)!
Finally, Haz’s “Thought of the Day” offers a witty reflection that starts with life’s big inevitables and ends with a vending machine standoff. It’s part philosophy, part petty grievance, and wholly relatable.
