Greetings, Hashers! The year is nearly half gone, and with that in mind, I want to express appreciation to all of you who have paid your annual dues. Remember: The dues go toward covering the cost of the Flickr.com photo albums that accompany the hash summaries. These benefit those who attended, but are also helpful to hashers who wanted to attend but couldn’t. This allows them to experience the hash virtually.
ANNOUNCING: Tarheel Hash 694
HARES: Chili Willie and Just Susan
WHEN (DATE): Saturday May 2nd, 2026
TIME: 1:45pm, Pack Off at 2:00
WHERE: 870 Jamestown Road, Pittsboro NC, 27312
HOW TO GET THERE: We always advise using a favorite mapping tool. Giving elaborate directions is optional. After all, rumor has it that most folks use GPS app’s these days.
Nevertheless, the link to the location via Google Maps is included. For directions, place your starting point in the field above the destination address. If the longer link “breaks”, we have a shorter version.
Shortened URL: https://shorturl.at/8xNeD
PARKING: Plenty of parking is available on our street; just don’t block the driveways.
DOGS: No dogs, please. They must sit this one out at home.
WALKERS: Yes– but walkers need to stick together -and are encouraged to bring along GPS tech on the trail and exercise patience with it. The hares live in an area a little more remote than some other locations - and cell service can be spotty. Bottom line: Chili Willie will throw in a couple of HH’s – and take note that he will sweep too.
WORDZ FROM DA HAREZ: Promptness is paramount! That said, keep in mind that we live in Pittsboro and it may be a longer commute for some of you. So, please plan carefully!
On a different note…..Hey, we’re hashing in May! Neighborhoods decked with colorful gardens mix well with lush, wooded sections to make this trail one to remember.
Then, at the Après, there will be time to mingle and swap trail tales – and there will be plenty of food, beer, and other beverages to enjoy!!
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1) Note the early start! Pack-off time is 2 pm.
2) Bring a bag with essentials like repellent, sunscreen, and a comfortable change of clothes, and footwear for the Après.
3) On Trail, Be sure to wear long pants and old clothes!
4) LOST? Call the Hare – Chili Willie (Bill) 919-428-3401
See you all Saturday! I’m reminiscing the incredible trail we enjoyed last time we hashed at Chili Willie and Susan’s – and look forward to hashing there again.
Cheers and On-On, Lickety Spit
