Come and Celebrate Spring’s arrival with us next weekend! The hash on Sunday the 12th promises some verdant scenery, where abundant gardens decorate many of the yards in this lovely community. Attached is a copy of the 2026 hare schedule, which has just undergone a few changes – so check it closely with special attention to June and October - not to mention this coming event, which falls on a Sunday now.

HARES: Comfort, Swings on Wood, and Short Shaft
WHEN (DATE): SUNDAY APR 12th, 2026
TIME: 2 pm – pack off at 2:15!
WHERE: South Durham (Parkwood), 119 Emerald Circle,
HOW TO GET THERE: We always advise using a favorite mapping tool. Giving elaborate directions is optional. After all, rumor has it that most folks use GPS app’s these days.
Below is the link to Google Maps. For directions, include your starting point in the field above the destination address. If the longer link “breaks”, a shorter version is available, too.
DOGS: Comfort says, “I love them, but my kitty doesn’t - so please leave your dogs at home this time.”
WALKERS: Yes– but walkers need to stick together. – If sweepers are present, it's safest to stay close to them. (Bringing technology with Comfort’s home address isn’t a bad idea either.)
WORDZ FROM DA HAREZ: Enjoy the spring weather and fragrant flowers!
This will be a pre-laid trail, a combination of footpaths, off-trail, and some quiet streets. One BB. We’ll put out a couple of water stops if the weather is warm.
Plenty of food, beer, and other beverages at the On-In!
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1) Please be prompt! At pack-off time, we’re heading out.
2) Bring a bag with essentials like repellent, sunscreen, and a comfortable change of clothes and footwear for Apr
3) Long pants or socks recommended. Comfort tries to avoid poison ivy, but it has already begun sprouting, so covering up is one good way to be safe.
