World Hash Events in July 2025 by Ed "Hazukashii" Howell

Greetings Fellow Tarheel hashers,
When I turned on my laptop this morning, timing was good because Hazukashii had just posted his monthly article on upcoming world hash events – details about those happening the month after next.
He always remembers the oldest active hasher – and harriette, and bestowed the honors on Chesney “El Picador” Allen, who hashes weekly with the Wessex H3. Not to overlook the ladies, he also recognizes the harriette who still holds the coveted title, Rajendar ‘GLAMOUR’ Kaur who continues to hash with the Brunei Hens. May they both keep enjoying many hashes to come!
Hazukashii continues by listing upcoming events celebrating milestones, like the Caribbean’s Kitts H3 500th and Paraguay’s Asuncion H3’s 100th.
Then other notes have included Germany’s “end of summer” hash and the German Hashathon, both later this year.

Five years ago, things were pretty quiet thanks to COVID, but somehow we have survived it (well, those of us still here) and by now, worldwide hashing has made a tremendous recovery, certainly something to celebrate..
Worldwide Hash Events in July 2025
The list of worldwide events, outside of the USA, include events in the UK (an Analversary), Jamaca’s hosted by the Hedo H3, a Mexico campout (hosted by the California Larrikins H3!), and a major Cruise opportunity, the Prelube to EUROHASH departing from Stockholm, Sweden with stops in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, and Finland. Two NASH hashes are also taking place in July! But you’ll have to choose between them because they both share the same weekend dates. Decide whether to attend either in Germany or Nigeria – they would both be phenomenal, so you just can't lose.
USA events include three in Virginia, hosted by Elbows Deep H3, the 7 Hills H3, and the Whitehouse H3. Two events in New York are hosted by the Eerie and then the Utica Better Than Nothing H3. Other July hashes will be in Washington State, Florida, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota. So, for anyone who applied for a new passport and is still waiting for it to arrive, there will be some interesting opportunities right here, in the land of the free and home of the brave (hashers).
Hazukashii’s thought for the day is one of those reminders to watch the speed limit and stop at red lights. Especially when returning home from a hash – so drive safely!
PS: Hazukashii is still writing his book on the history of hashing, and reminds us that he has not forgotten about it!

Two big birthdays this month for our oldest hasher, and the slightly
younger harriette. Sending out some big time birthday cheer to . . .
Chesney ‘EL PICADOR’ Allen is the world’s oldest ACTIVE hasher. He was
born on 30 May 1932, so will be turning 93 next week. He hashes every
week
with the Wessex H3 and stays with the main pack by walking fast, and using
sticks. Blessings to El Picador for many more years of hashing fun.
The world’s oldest ACTIVE harriette continues to be Rajendar ‘GLAMOUR’ Kaur
who was born on 9 May 1933, she is now 92 and hashing with the Brunei Hens.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and hopes for many more!

Good News . . . we may soon see a resurgence of the Damascus H3. As far
as
I know, there has not been an active hash in Syria for many years.
Sanctions are being lifted, and we may soon see the return of hashing in
Damascus. If that happens, you can be assured I will be there to check
them
out.
