Anyone interested in joining me on Sunday to weed and plant in the last 2 beds? Radishes, turnips, spring greens and peas are all coming up nicely. We also need to build some trellises for the peas. There are bamboo steaks in the shed from last year we can use. I have more salad mix seeds, as well as cilantro and carrots. I am also planning on picking up a few seedlings from the farmer's market tomorrow. Feel free to bring anything else you would like to plant, but remember it's still to early for our delicious summer crops. Towards the end of may we can really get going with tomatoes, cucumbers etc. What time works for people on Sunday? We should try to plant during full sun if possible.

See you Sunday!

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a nice planting day on Sunday- what a perfect day for it!

We did have a mini meeting last Monday but I understand that very few people wanted to trek out in the pouring rain.  I did plan on discussing events in the garden.  Just to reiterate the policy: no more than 25 people, no alcohol or drugs, and the gates must be left open to the public please! If you’d like to schedule an event in the garden please bring the idea to the monthly meeting (or email the group).  Please also fill out the attached event form and return it to me via email or you can leave it in the garden binder.  A new garden binder will be placed in the shed this week (with membership forms, event forms etc… sometimes it’s easier to deal with that paperwork in hard copy)

EVENT THIS WEEKEND:

POT PAINTING WITH JUDY JONES!!

Saturday, May 8th 12:00pm-3:00pm

Spread the word!

Kitty- I also never got Spike's info to add to the list! If you have it, send it on over.

Talk soon,

Rachael

Hey!

just signed up on the list. We got a bunch planted in the last two
days, and definitely more to come! I'm so excited to get to
participate with this group. We've got bush beans, kale, collards,
beets, 4 carrot varieties, quick growing salad greens, spinach,
peppers, thyme. Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. More
turnips? Space for tomato plants, plans for strawberries. Sorry I
jumped in so quick but its spring time!

See ya'll in the garden.

Spike
