- you can listen twice (ony twice) and take notes of only important information - usually nouns, or verbs, not auxiliaries (is, will, does..), prepositions ...
- remember to use abbreviations, symbols to save the time from writing the full words or sentences.
Pls bring to the next Ls class all your notes written again in another piece of paper, not as drafts. |

I am terribly sorry for late HW. I don’t understand why I cannot upload files onto Mediafiles. It took me quite a long time to work out the problem and finally, ….. I still don’t understand why. Dear all,
It is 23.55 pm Wednesday and I am waiting for your email. By this time, I have just got emails from Dung and Van. What about others?
By the way, I would like to remind you of some techniques for home – practice. - For the first listening, take good notes, and then try to choose (and sometimes guess) the correct answer. - For the second listening, you can check your answers again. - When you have tapescripts, you should look up and learn by heart new words, listen again and again, until you can repeat sentence by sentence from the files. By doing this, you can not only remember the new words but also improve your pronunciation and intonation, which are very important in the speaking test. - The most important is, be confident and believe in yourself. Maybe you have realized that Listening (TOEFL Ibt) is not as difficult as you thought. 2 out of 4 choices (A, B, C, D) can be easily omitted. Very often you can guess the correct answer. Once your vocabulary improves and you get familiar with the ascent and intonation, you will find it easy to listen to TOEFL Ibt.
