Uploaded datasets are "unverified". It's not clear how to verify them.

Hi,

I'm uploading data manually through the UI. When I upload a new data set the names show sup like "uvalue-0.jpeg (unverified)" for example. It's not clear how to verify them. I tried disabling theREQUIRE_VALIDATION_ON_INGESTION settingand restartingbut no luck. I can see the files in the admin interface under admin/tardis_portal/datafile/ but I can't see an obvious ~"verify this file" input. How do I "verify" these files?

Another ~related question is, I've uploaded images because I thought they would show up in the image preview area, but they don't. How can I get that to work? Alternatively how can I make he image preview area not show up if no images are going to be shown?
