Hi Guys,
I haven't been to any meetings for a very long time due to
my pain levels preventing me from traveling. Some of you may be aware
that i suffer from chronic pain and that is my reason for writing.
I belong to an on-line NZ support group called " Chronic pain Awareness
Support" and recently had inquiries regarding an application that would
allow sufferers to better manage their pain. I had said about how I use
my phone to manage my own pain.
I searched the net for a suitable application but came up short of
what is actually required, most having been created by health
professionals wanting to record pain levels, not as a tool to help
reduce the severity of ones pain.
I used to write software many years ago (at the dawn of time for
Sega computers) so understand a little about the structure of programs
but not enough for modern devices.
I am looking for someone who may be interested in helping me
develop an application that will run on smart phones to:
a) set tasks attributing difficulty levels, set
duration and break down into manageable steps.
b) Record pain levels and present in an easy to read
format for doctors
c) record medications, when taken, amount taken, and
beneficial effect
d) record sleep patterns and problems with sleeping
e) record diet and the effect on medications and pain
f) set exercise periods and goals
Plus a few more things that are being voiced by our group members.
I know that such an application would be commercially viable to write. I
have had comments world wide from pain sufferers screaming out for the
type of application I am talking about. The type of people who would use
this app' is huge, anyone suffering pain from the myriad of afflictions
that cause pain.
Currently I am putting together desirable aspects of the application and
how these will tie in with the reporting and monitoring function.
Is there anyone in the group who would like to help me create
this much needed application?
Or could you recommend someone who would be willing to help.
Kind Regards
David Beale
