Hello All,
The Shaastra 2015 Events team is proud to introduce Shaastra Electronics Fest, an excellent platform for electrical engineers in India. The Electronics Fest will be conducted during Shaastra 2015 (first week of January).
We wish to call for coordinators for the following tentative list of events, though your ideas for events are welcome.
1. Shaastra Circuit Design Challenge: Rack your brains to solve develop innovative products like a walking stick for the blind, voice-controlled switchboard etc.
2. Fun with Oscilloscopes: Learn the basics of an oscilloscope in a fun manner, compete to draw the best image on the oscilloscope to win a cash prize and take home your very own oscilloscope at the end of the day.
3. Shaastra Electronics Store: Gain experience with electronics, develop devices like the Shaastra Dice Badge and see the product developed by you being sold to everyone.
Note: The Shaastra Dice Badge is similar to this. We will get back to you soon about this.
4. Arduino Programmer's Challenge: Coding challenges for C and Python are very common so why not conduct one for the Arduino, the most popular electronics prototyping platform.
5. PCB Design Workshop: Learn the art of PCB designing and take home your first PCB formed by the process of etching an Ink Clad copper plate.
6. Workshops by TI: Hands-on workshops by the TI University programme on embedded Linux and the MSP430 Launchpad have been loved by students all over India so we wish to conduct 2 such workshops in IITM, one in Shaastra and one pre-Shaastra for the institute.
The events will be conducted in collaboration with the CFI Electronics Club and the EE Department. EE students are encouraged to apply as they will get to interact with core EE companies and develop industry specific skills. Members of the iBot and Electronics Club of CFI are also encouraged to apply, though this is open to all.
For any clarifications, you can send a mail at sidd...@shaastra.org or sec_...@smail.iitm.ac.in.
Thanks and Regards
