FIRA RoboWorld Cup 2014 - Application for Team SahaS

After a successful outing at the FIRA Robotics competition, 2013 held in Malaysia, Team SahaS is recruiting new members for next year. 

What is Team SahaS?
Team SahaS represents IIT Madras at the FIRA Robotics competition, which is held annually with participation from over 15 countries from around the world. Initiated in 2011 we have grown from strength to strength, culminating in a successful outing at the 2013 edition of the FIRA World Cup.

Competition:

FIRA RoboWorld Cup is one of the prestigious Autonomous Robotics competitions held in the world. It is organized every year by Federation of International Robo-soccer Association. We take part in Mirosot league where 5 robots from one team plays to score goals against 5 robots of opponent team in a completely autonomous environment.

Work Profile:
Applications are invited for the following sub systems

1. Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence : Coding the strategies for game play
2. Electronics, Communication and  Control Systems : Electronic Control Systems Design & Integration, Circuit Design, Embedded systems coding.
3. Image Processing : Robot detection, Processing the live feed at high speed, GUI design
4. Mechanical Systems :  Design, 3D-Modelling, Fabrication and Maintenance of the robots.


Application Procedure:
Interested students fill in this Application form. The deadline for sending the application is Wednesday, 9th October, 11:45 PM. The problem statement will be released soon.

Who can apply?

All undergraduate students from the 2nd year or higher are welcome to apply. This year, we are also looking to expand our team to include Graduates and Post-Graduates as well.
