CFI is organising a SolidWorks Workshop for 3D modelling. Do attend it. It will be very useful.

Also, we will soon be having DesMod as part of TechSoc. It is basically, as the name suggests, a Design and Modelling event, where you need to create a 3D model of your design. So the workshop will be quite beneficial.

About the Solid works....

SolidWorks is a 3D mechanical CAD (computer-aided design) program that will help in bringing down your designs to the reality. It is a powerful tool which every roboticist should be capable of using. It makes materials choosing and mechanical designing of robots very easy. It makes visualization and understanding of complex mechanisms/designs merely a child's play. So, do not miss it!

About the Workshop...

Venue:-  CRC 101

Date:-     27/03/2014

Time:-     20:00 to 22:00

Prerequisites:- None (Although we advice you to get your laptop if possible)

Things to be covered through this session....

• Setting up SolidWorks in your PC.
  
Understanding The User Interface and basic functions of Solid works.
Release of Solid works Design Challenge Problem Statement.

Open Discussion on Summer projects to be undertaken by the Club.

Regarding SolidWorks Design Challenge...

It is a Design And Modelling Challenge exclusively for 1st Year students where they can show case their skills in SolidWorks along side pushing their creativity to the limits.. 

Deadline for Registrations and rules will be announced during the Workshop. Also there are added perks for the winners of this event.Prize money worth INR 2000.
