Details of project
They need to read through speaker verification/recognition systems currently used and the state of the art. Open source tools like ALIZE, etc.
Both text dependent/text independent, but mostly we will use text independent system.
Find out features used, (mfcc etc.), and basic systems like GMM based speaker verification and things like UBM (universal background model).
Goal is to have a matlab/C/C++ implementation of a state of art system with good understanding of the components.
