Hey,
Stagecoach 2014 is scheduled for mid-April and we will be performing
Dial M for Murder, the play that was made into that iconic film by Alfred Hitchcock. If you don't know enough about the movie to have been sufficiently excited by that alone, have a look at the description (of the movie)
here. The characters are simply unbelievable.
Auditions for the play will be held on
Friday (7/2/2014) at 9PM in front of SAC. Rehearsals will start from next week. The script for the play can be found at
https://archive.org/details/dialmformurder00knot (download the PDF from the left panel); please have a look at the script before you show up for the audition. The script will also be available at Guru fromTuesday, but please try using the online version as far as possible. Printouts will be provided at the audition.
The plan is to pick an understudy for each character as well, who will also serve on the crew in addition to acting. This is a great opportunity for beginners who want to learn something about theatre to spend time at rehearsals, and also for seasoned actors who want to see what it feels like to be backstage.
The director of the play is the gorgeous and talented Ashwin Pananjady, More of lore. This is the last chance to work with this insti drams god. (Because he's graduating, not because he's dying. But you knew that). Treat this as the ultimate incentive.
Look forward to seeing you there!

P.S. If you have a pressing commitment and will not be able to make it on Friday, please let us know. We can schedule another audition for you.
