Itested this and it seems to work, but no guarantees. This requires both Local Explorer Chrome (or Edge) plugin and Windows integration modules, which I did not write and have no responsibility for. They work for me, but use at your own risk!
Format your links as follows: [[lexp>pathtitle]] where the italicized text is replaced by your text and the [title] is optional (as indicated by the square brackets).
We've recently encountered an issue with IE11, and are trying to move to a different browser solution on company Workstations. Our intranet is Sharepoing 2013 (On-Prem), and we have a large number of documents linked in "file://" format. I would like to avoid replacing every single document on our intranet with a different link format; does anyone know of a way for Chromium based browsers to open "file://" based links in file explorer. I am aware of the "file://" chrome extension that opens them in an index search, but we want the links to open in file explorer.
@Trevor Seward
Hi Trevor, thanks for the response. We are aware that this is a security feature by design, but even in Microsoft Edge (Chromium), this invalidates a good 70% of the documents stored on our SharePoint. I don't see why this can't be disabled for local intranet files. I am looking into that extension, and associated integration module, and it looks promising. I'll have to vet the program itself, but thank you for pointing this out to me!
@AENT_SysAdmin
Hallo wir haben das gleiche Problem. Wir haben eine groe SQL Datenbank mit programmiertem Frontend fr eine Link Sammlung hinter denen Dokumente auf Firmenservern liegen. Also alles intern auf eigenen Servern. Sollte das weiterhin geblockt werden, killt das hunderte Links und eine Basisfunktionalitt des Tools.
@AENT_SysAdmin We were having the same issue for SharePoint links to shared drives. Was able to fix by using the 'IE Tab' extension installed on Chrome and Edge. Provided users instructions on how to configure the IE tab to automatically open using the "Auto URLs" setting in the extension. This way anytime they click links from the SharePoint page or Doc Library, (which happen to be linked to our internal Shared drive), they all work. Here is the link to the extension: IE Tab - Chrome Web Store (

@AENT_SysAdmin Just want to share. I put all the file:// links into a word document in SharePoint as a workaround. For an extra click, the users can open the links after open the word document. Too much hassle to install the extension if you do not have a lot of links.
I've been working on something similar -- extensions/add-ons are an underrated thing to be checking! I don't have a comprehensive script for all three, but I have an EA for Firefox extensions based on this one for Chrome. Safari is next.
Can you inform me of how you have these setup in your JAMF instance? Currently can't get these two to run correctly and not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. Set them up in EA's and i'm trying to generate a downloadable csv report but doesn't seem to be working.
Sure! I've structured these and run them as Extension Attributes, so assuming you use them the same way, you could create an Advanced Search (looking for All Managed Devices, for example) that displays those fields, then download the CSV report.
Gotcha! I've set them both up as Extension Attributes, and have created an Advanced Search that displays those fields. Once downloaded though, the fields are empty? Do i have to wait for inventory to run on all machines for this to generate results or?
Yep! Inventory needs to run on the machines. Also, if you're using what I linked, note that those two EAs use managed_python3, so if you have a different version of python3 or no python3 at all, they won't run.
The Firefox file that stores the add-ons list is .json and if I remember correctly, the Chrome extensions list is as well. That's not to say that you couldn't parse the json with bash or zsh but it was tedious enough that I decided to stretch into python for it. If you can get it approved and out to your macs, managed python3 provides a lot of utility.
I assume you switched the first line to include a path to your python3? If not, do that, but if so, have you tried running the script locally on a test machine/vm? That might give some insight into what's going on.
Looking over those errors, it's likely that the dependencies/modules for those pieces are missing from the python environment. That's one reason I do really like that admin-friendly distribution of python and I really recommend it. If you wanted to adapt those scripts, you could get find other modules to use in their place.

Webception is a deployable web-application that allows you to run all your Codeception tests in the browser. You can access multiple test suites and decide which tests to include in a run. It allows you start, stop and restart the process whilst watching the test results in the Console.
CSS / Visual regression tests integrated in Codeception. This module can be used to compare the current representation of a website element with an expected based on a reference image. This module does not require any JavaScript injections in your website and works with viewport screenshots (chromedriver). Compatible with WebDriver and AngularJS modules.
MailCatcher is a standalone software which can be configured to catch any email sent by your development server, and display it on a webpage. The MailCatcher Module allows you to test the contents of those emails in an acceptance test.
A module which validates the markup (HTML, XHTML, etc.) of web documents. Works out of the box, requires no complex configuration to get started. Yet fully configurable and extendable if something special is needed.
Visual regression tests integrated in Codeception. This module can be used to compare the current representation of a website element with an expected. It was written on the shoulders of codeception and integrates in a very easy way.
Allows developers and testers to use WireMock to mock external services when running codeception tests. codeception-wiremock-extension connects to an already running instance of WireMock or can also run automatically a local standalone one. And, it is able to download the version of wiremock you preffer and run it too
TestStatistics is a Codeception Extension to measure the performance of your tests. The extension lists your slower steps, probably meaning that the used locator is not performant. Is a smart tool to improve the speed of your Acceptance tests, and serves as example to create your own reporting extensions.
We at valantic are excited to share our latest development: Improved Anaplan DX, a browser extension designed to enhance your modeling experience and increase efficiency. Please see below for more details. The extension is now available in the Chrome Web Store (can be installed on Chrome and Edge):
1. Keyboard Shortcuts: Say goodbye to the mouse! We've added an extensive set of keyboard shortcuts that cover almost all actions in Anaplan. From navigating modules to editing line items, you'll be amazed at how quickly you can accomplish tasks with just a few keystrokes, without continuously having to swap between mouse and keyboard.
2. Page and Report Analysis: Need to find all pages referencing a particular module? Or want to identify which line items are used as filter variables in your pages and reports? Our extension has you covered! With a keyboard shortcut, you can quickly locate and analyse critical dependencies, enabling you to make informed decisions about your models.
3. AI-powered Formula Assistance: Imagine having an AI-powered assistant right in the formula editor, just like Co-pilot for developers. With our integration of ChatGPT, you'll have access to intelligent suggestions, code snippets, and contextual guidance as you write your Anaplan formulas. This powerful feature will help you become even more efficient and accurate in your modelling.
4. Formula Editor Enhancements: We've supercharged the formula editor to make creating and editing formulas a breeze. Hovering over items or functions now provides helpful tooltips, ensuring you have all the information you need at your fingertips. Additionally, our validation and error highlighting feature help catch potential issues before you even submit your formulas, saving you valuable time and reducing frustrating wait periods.
5. Enhanced Popup Windows: We've taken the annoyance out of popup windows in Anaplan. Our solution makes them focus traversable (you can navigate the window with Tab), allowing for seamless navigation within popups. We have also added styling to these elements, so you always know which one you have currently selected. You can also reach the enter button with tab and confirm your changes in all popups now.
@Langerjt I have included a preview of this in Update 1.2.33. With Ctrl + Alt + W in an open Module, it will add the grey shades to all Headings, Summaries and also Hierarchy Parents. Please let me know if my understanding of your request is correct, I will then expand this further, make it customizable and automatic etc.
