Hi,

My app was rejected from the app store for a curious bug. It runs fine on various iPhone flavours and on the iOS 5.1 iPad simulator, but on the iOS 6.0 simulator after showing the splash image, the screen turns black - no buttons or tabs or content.

From the searching I've done it seems like I may need to add a "Main nib file base name" property in the Info.plist file, but I'm not sure what the value should be? Or is this unrelated?

[I'm using the 1.5.3a build but this was also a problem in 1.5.2.]

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Colin.

Colin,

I've sent your message to our senior developers and will find out what the reason might be for this. I'll let you know when I find out something.

Two things:
I think 1.5.3 is beta software still so it's not necessarily safe to use for an app to send to the store
I see a crash similar to yours on iOS6 devices if I have the device rotated to landscape when I launch the app. The issue for me is solved by changing the "Supported Interface Orientations" to just be "Portrait" (by default, XCode seems to keep trying to make it be portrait and landscape). However, this will cause me to be unable to rotate any video screens. If you don't have video then perhaps it will be enough to get you all fixed up.

Colin,

Could we get a copy of your NGConfig file? Our developer doesn't think it's you should have to stet a main nib file.

You can email it to us at sup...@taplynx.com

Cheers!

Just to conclude this one: I am not sure why it happened and I couldn't find the problem. I went back and started a clean Xcode project and rebuilt the app from first principles and it's now working fine again and has been resubmitted to the app store. Gotta love computers.
