Push notifications not happening

I'm adding push notifications into my Taplynx app, and I've hit a wall. I've submitted this to support but figured I'd ask here as well in case anyone can help.

The problem is simply that I am not getting the "<app> wants to send you push notifications" prompt when running the app, so it won't show any notifications.

I am using an adhoc provisioning profile on an iPhone, I've added the relevant fields to the plist file per the instructions, and uploaded the adhoc build to the iPhone with a distribution certificate. 

I've checked support forums at pushio and taplynx but I can't see what I'm missing. Anyone got any ideas?

You don't mention it, but did you update your .pem file on the taplynx website?

Yes, definitely. (I think you might need to do that step to get the API key.)

Does anything happen when you flip the switches on your Alert's tab?

The Alerts tab is there but empty.

This whole process is about to change with the new release. Please contact Mike Redmer on our team (mi...@push.io) and he'll walk you through the new setup. Walter has also been beta testing it so he may be able to help as well, but might not have all the docs that Mike's been working on. Thanks! -Joe

At this point I believe we're waiting for feedback and issue reports on the 1.5.4 beta that we posted last week.
