Strange AJAX behaviour using jquery tabs + active tab determination

Hello,

I have four tabs when I load a page. When I change a tab, I sometimes see old elements popping up for a short time. How can I prevent this?

Also, sometimes the wrong tab is highlighted. The tab content is tab 2, but the highlighted tab is tab 1. Did I forget to set something?
