Ideally it will work the same as the iOS app with the ability to have locally stored content or content streamed over the web. There have been talks on this board of others trying to create an Android app, but I have not seen any results yet from those discussions. After working with the TAP code for a little while I was left with the impression that they still had a long way to go before "production quality" code was available and progress was slow due to a limited ecosystem (the team seems to be mostly fixed at one museum IT dept.).  Right now I am more interested in the Providence system.  I also have been following Mukurtu because my daughter (museum curator/archeologist) finds it interesting.  I monitor the TAP list but I never got it fully operational on any of my servers here.  So I guess the answer is no progress from this person.

We currently have quite a few web and iOS apps that are out in the wild. I would say both of those are production ready, the biggest need on those is documentation (which is being worked on)

As for android, we haven't made any progress in that regard. The web app is currently the best option in that regard. We are always looking for others to help in this space.
