I'm writing to you because you, or someone you know, may be interested in a Taiwanese American youth summer camp that takes place every year with over 200 youth from around the country. This summer camp is called TAF, which stands for Taiwanese American Foundation. Each year, TAF explores one of 4 rotating themes through inspirational speakers, workshops, games, inter-generational activities, and discussion. These rotating themes are: Identity, Ethics & Values, Communication, and Leadership. This year's theme will be Communication, nicknamed "Love Out Loud", where everyone will have the opportunity to focus on how to communicate with oneself, friends, family, and in our communities.
Through this summer camp and other year-round activities and projects, TAF strives to bring this mission and vision to reality. TAF's mission is to foster personal growth and develop servant leaders in the Taiwanese American community for the benefit of society, and its vision is for people of Taiwanese heritage to make a profound impact on mankind in unique and compassionate ways.
