Introduction
Founded in 1984, the North American
Taiwanese
Medical Association (NATMA) is a professional organization comprised
of Taiwanese American physicians, dentists and allied health
professionals.
It now consists of 16 regional chapters and over 1,400 members across
the United States. NATMA'S mission is to represent medical, dental and
other health professionals of Taiwanese descent, and to promote
educational
and cultural exchange among its members and their communities.
NATMA Foundation is offering a total
of five (5) $ 1,000 scholarship grants to two medical/dental/allied
health students and three residents or fellow-in-training of Taiwanese
American descent to recognize their academic excellence and
contributions
to Taiwanese American community.
Eligibility
Medical, dental or allied health
students,
residents or fellows of Taiwanese American descent who are in good
standing
and under training at an accredited U.S. institution or program.
Students
must complete at least one year of graduate school study with
available
transcript.
