Here's your chance to use the inherent democracy of the Internet to offer musicians around the world — whether professional, aspiring, or retired — an opportunity to play at Sydney Opera House!
I am thrilled to tell you that I have been selected as a finalist for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra (YTSO), an international orchestra that aims to bring the creative multimedia and collaborative qualities of YouTube into the classical music world. Musicians selected for YTSO 2011 will be invited to rehearse and perform at the Sydney (Australia) Opera House in March 2011. An expert panel of judges from leading orchestras around the world narrowed the thousands of entries down to a select group of finalists. Now the public is invited to vote online to rank the finalists, and maestro Michael Tilson Thomas will then confirm the winners.
Please take a minute to listen to my audition video, and if you like what you hear, I would be honored to have your support and vote.
