Those of you who can understand Taiwanese may want to attend.
It's on July 24 Saturday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the Maxwell Dworkin Building G115 of Harvard University.

2008年，因為民進黨執政不符合人民期待，台灣再度政黨輪替。取得七百多萬選票的馬英九總統上任之後，台灣的政治生態亂象更生，政府行政效率低落, 民主人權倒退。台灣，目前正面對著前所未有的危機, 一方面世界局勢的巨幅變動，讓台灣人民有被世界邊緣化的焦慮；另一方面，中國在經濟及其他實力上的崛起，也危及台海近半世紀的政治平衡。台灣目前，正站在一個關鍵性的轉折點上，面對這樣嚴峻的世界局勢，我們應該開始思考並審慎的評估討論台灣的前途及未來。
2012總統選舉，很快就會到來。長期關心台灣發展的許世楷博士將針對「台灣的未來」分析他返台定居後對於台灣處境的研究與觀察，並提出適切可行的實踐方案，在未來的兩年中有策略、穩定的朝目標邁進，而不至於再度因對台灣未來的焦慮感，又被政客左右或矇騙。台灣公論報今年特別邀請許博士巡迴全美各地, 期待能與美國各地的台美社群一起交流討論思考：台灣，在本世紀這個巨大的變盪局勢中，到底該何去何從？

1957 年台灣大學法學院政治學系畢業
1962 年日本早稻田大學政治學碩士
1968 年取得日本東京大學法學博士
1968 年任日本津田塾大學副教授
1972 年任日本津田塾大學教授
1972∼74 年任台灣獨立聯盟日本本部委員長
1982∼91 年任台灣獨立建國聯盟日本本部委員長
