230RMB/order

8.60 joyo: ¥16.8

If only we can monetize this kind of traffic...

I bought many books from amazon.cn (joyo) a week earlier, but I used
the slower shipping, which is 107 Yuan. It was shipped from HongKong
and will take 10-20 days. So my package is not here yet.

I asked around for 团购 books but seems that people I asked were not
interested in buying physical books, so didn't successfully convince
any one to buy with me. Maybe had I asked here I would get more
interest, or maybe not, because it seems that people I asked do not
care too much about the shipping.

I am afraid that there are fewer people traveling
these days. Also because books tend to be heavy, it may not worth the
trouble if the books are not in urgent need.

You may ask around in Taotie reading. I am sure there are people
interested in physical books.

I was just kidding about monetizing the airplane-carried business
traffic between Mountain View and Beijing :)

So they require the credit card to be "Verified by Visa" or have a
MasterCard "SecureCode"? My Citi master card does not seem to support
that. Any recommendations on good and safe credit cards to use?

I used AMEX and it went thru.
I've heard AMEX has the best charge back policy so it is very easy to ask money back if there are problems.
Mastercard is pretty good as well, while discover is the worst...
But I never tried any of them personally.

I think the "secure code" means the last 3 digits on the back of your
card.
This is something that's used commonly even in the US for security
reasons.

neither Mastercard(CITI) nor VISA(Amazon Card from Chase) works for me on joyo
tried couple of times and finally I switched to AMEX, which went thru.

I used visa and it was fine.

The only thing I was not sure about is how FAST it really is.
So did it really take only 2 days to ship to you for the 260Yuan fast
one?

Shiqi Yang

depends how fast they prepare the package
their estimation is pretty conservative.
in my case, it shows in my order that the expected shipping date is 10/27 and delivery date is 10/30
and it actually got split into two packages by system (with no extra charge)
one of them shipped 10/20 and delivered 10/22
the other one shipped 10/27 and delivered 10/29

so from my experience I guess the answer to your question is: YES....

SecureCode (one word) is a password in addition to the CSC code, which
is only supported by some MasterCards. My Citi one does not support
that. It seems PayEase starts to support cards without that code? In
Visa the same thing is called "verified by Visa", which is a password
in addition to the card number and the CSC code. When you paid by
Visa, did they ask you for such a password?

I see, so it's from get shipped to get delivered, not from placing
order to get delivered.

exactly, and I think it is the case here in US as well.
