Participants will learn about Tao Shiatsu treatments and training first hand by experiencing Oriental Medicine's core principle - the interconnected nature of body, mind and spirit. All of the tr aditional Eastern disciplines - from tea ceremony to meditation and martial artistry - share one common purpose: the spiritual development of the practitioner through repeated practice and refinement of form and technique, in order that this may benefit the spiritual development of others.
The teachings of Tao Shiatsu are primarily concerned with the development and transmission of the spirit and the Heart of Tao, rather than simply technique alone. In this sense, the value of Tao Shiatsu is universal, not only for the patients and practitioners of Tao Shiatsu, but for all beings, promoting greater love, understanding and acceptance of others.
