Tao Shiatsu, founded by world famous Master Ryokyu Endo, is a revolutionary Ki Meridian Shiatsu System. It is based on the Buddhist (Mahayana) and Taoist concepts of unification with the Universal Spirit, with a clear focus on the 'oneness' with, and compassion for all human beings.

Participants will learn about Tao Shiatsu treatments and training first hand by experiencing Oriental Medicine's core principle - the interconnected nature of body, mind and spirit. The class will include Ki (energy) and heart training exercises and hands-on shiatsu practice.

Come and experience it for yourself with Deb Bachmann,
Tao Shiatsu instructor and 15 year practitioner.

                       Beginning classes include:
  • Basic Forms: Side position, Face-down position
  • Tsubo Method: introduction to treatment points
  • Heart of Communication introductory training
  • Meridian stretches: partner exercises designed to increase physical flexibility and general well being, and open energy meridians
  • Renki exercises: simple meditative movements, similar to Tai chi, that calm the mind and boost the ki flow in the body
  • Ki Meditation: a practice to strengthen healing ki for yourself and others
  • Aiki exercises: based on martial arts practices
All of the trKi Ball - Group at Omegaaditional Eastern disciplines - from tea   ceremony to meditation and martial artistry - share one common purpose: the spiritual development of the practitioner through repeated practice and refinement of form and technique, in order that this may benefit the spiritual development of others.

The teachings of Tao Shiatsu are primarily concerned with the development and transmission of the spirit and the  Heart of Tao, rather than simply technique alone.  In this sense, the value of Tao Shiatsu is universal, not only for the patients and practitioners of Tao Shiatsu, but for all beings, promoting greater love, understanding and acceptance of others.
