Children's Day
is a national holiday in Japan
dedicated to celebrating children

CdayLotsofKites
Japanese families. elementary schools, community centers and shops hang colorful fish kites outside on May 5th. The beautiful carp kite fluttering in the wind represents the wish for children to grow up healthy, brave, and strong.

In Madison we'll celebrate this wonderful tradition with a fundraiser for the people of Japan, thanks to the help of our friends & hosts at Happy Bambino.

We are looking for a few volunteers for the event to help people make the fish kites, dolls, and tend a solar cooker during the event.  If this interests you please contact us at Tao Sangha Madison.

If you would like to contribute, you can be assured that 100% of your donation will go directly to assist Japanese people in need.

 Thank you for your support!
