Volunteer Coordinator – Zanzibar, Tanzania

We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in beautiful Zanzibar, Tanzania. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with volunteers, helping them integrate into their placements while supporting the growth and success of our programs and new ventures.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Engagement: Welcome volunteers, conduct orientations, and support them throughout their placement.

Program Management: Accompany volunteers to their placements, provide guidance, and manage ongoing feedback and handovers.

Project Development: Assist in managing existing programs and contribute to expanding our impact through new projects and ventures.

Communication: Act as a liaison between the organization, volunteers, and local communities.

Feedback & Improvement: Regularly gather feedback to ensure a meaningful and sustainable experience for all stakeholders.


Requirements

Fluency in English (additional languages are highly advantageous).

Proven experience working with volunteers, guests, or in a similar role.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks.

Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and problem-solve.

Passion for community development and sustainable impact.
